Job Title: CNC/Router Operator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Assembly Shop Liaison, the CNC/Router Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Biesse Rover B CNC router machine. The operator runs and maintains the CNC machine and feeds sheets of plywood to the machine to ensure that the precise cuts of woods are made which in turn are used to manufacture our raw wood custom cabinets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
The CNC/Router Operator is responsible for their work and will not have constant supervision. This individual must be able to work independently and perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible.
Specific Duties Include:
- Conduct visual inspection of CNC router and complete any preventative maintenance adjustments as needed; such as cleaning filters and tool setup.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose for malfunctioning machinery cases, whether mechanical, electrical and/or pneumatic.
- Install and properly align all tooling required to set-up new and repeat jobs.
- Make dimensional off-set adjustments and or tools changes as needed, in addition to monitoring general quality and workmanship standards.
- Place identified wood species plywood on CNC router per job.
- Be able to run CNC that is fed Cabinet Vision specs to machine from engineering.
- Sort wood parts after machine cuts the plywood.
- Stage cabinet parts in carts for each shop to assemble.
- Count and report rejected parts (notify supervisor).
- Monitors the performance of the CNC Router and reports any issues immediately.
- Understand, calculate, and set controls to regulate machining factors such as the speed, feed, and coolant flow, able to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust the machine controls as needed.
- Make process improvement recommendations to manager.
- Clean and maintain work area throughout each day.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months running CNC/Router in manufacturing environment
- Able to read basic instructions and manuals in English
- Knowledge of wood species
- Familiarity operating a computer
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work a changing work schedule according to production demands
- Ability to work collaboratively with among departments
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in cold and hot environments
- Ability to work with strict deadlines
- Ability to lift a minimum 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a production environment using safety equipment (eyewear, ear plugs and safety gloves)
- Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
