Job Description
The Bus Driver position at Tri-Valley has primary responsibility for ensuring the safety of passengers transported by our bus. This role involves considerable contact and interaction with the public, requiring exceptional customer service skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Inspecting and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the bus
- Completing applicable paperwork
- Participating in marketing program services
- Answering customer questions
- Collecting fares
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Drivers License with Passenger Endorsement
- Current Medical Examination Card
- Minimum age of 21 years (if driving across state lines)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background search requirements
- Pass Tri-Valley Transportation Driver Certification training
Support for Unqualified Drivers:
Tri-Valley will provide support to unqualified bus drivers to obtain a CDL with passenger endorsement within 90 days of employment. This includes up to 10 hours of entry-level driver training, up to 30 hours of one-on-one training time, and up to 15 hours of ride-along training time.
