Triad Aviation Academy is a professional Part 141 and Part 61 Flight Training organization in business since 2008 and still located at KGSO international airport in Greensboro, NC.
We are currently interviewing CFI & CFII candidates to help address our growing flight school and expanded operations. We prefer CFII candidates, but will also consider CFI candidates based on their background and experience.
Overview:
The purpose of this position is to provide the highest quality flight and ground lesson training to Triad Aviation Academy students with a focus on safety, using the prescribed syllabi, outlines, and manuals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A current CFI or CFII rating
- Letter of Recommendation from Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Instructor
- 1st Class Medical
- US Citizen or Valid US employment authorization
Flight Instruction: Experience preferred, but will consider recent CFI and CFII candidates
Familiarity with Triad Aviation Academy Syllabi including:
- Training Course Outlines
- Safety Practices and Procedures manuals, and other
- Part 141 and other SOPs.
Proficiency and familiarity with Triad Aviation Academy Aircraft including:
- Aircraft limitations
- Maximum airspeeds
- Performance and maneuverability
- Weight and balance
- Systems
Demonstrated knowledge of the following:
- Part 141/61 Training Course Outlines
- Federal Aviation Regulations
- FAA Record Keeping Requirement
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, structured, caring training to private, instrument, and commercial flight students.
- Depending on student demand, be available for training for up to 6 days a week, and as required during the hours between 7am to 6pm.
- Work well with other instructors and TAA staff members
- Hone instruction techniques and knowledge needed to provide quality, accurate, and profession instruction to students based on measured student performance.
- Deliver course content, utilizing appropriate and approved teaching strategies and resources that actively engage students and achieve desired student outcomes.
- During the first 4 months of employment, learn and perform the duties at our front desk to include dispatch, check in, billing and scheduling. Front desk hours are compensated on an hourly basis based on our scheduling needs.
- Deliver flight and ground training in accordance with Triad Aviation Academy syllabi, Training Course Outlines, Safety Practices and Procedures manuals, and other Part 141/61 other SOPs.
- Demonstrate and apply working knowledge of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic teaching styles to efficiently and accurately instruct students in accordance with the TAA Instructors Handbook/SOPs.
- Maintain professional interactions with a diverse student population by providing timely and accurate feedback that supports learning.
- Reliably, consistently on time and on task.
- Apply assessment and checkride results to address possible deficiencies and improve instruction effectiveness. Provide clear and timely feedback.
- Maintain and accurately document student progress and records according to 141 requirements and SOPs.
- Identify students that are struggling with the curriculum or are falling behind schedule. Notify appropriate direct report (Asst Chief Instructor/Director) so that deficiencies can be addressed appropriately.
- Identify long-term and short-term goals in student learning and integrate assessments at regular intervals to support and measure learning objectives.
