Our busy, growing client is seeking a skilled Product Development Engineer to join their exceptional team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and developing cutting-edge radiation detection systems and solutions, focusing on hardware system designs by transitioning ideas from concepts to prototypes. The Product Development Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring the concepts from initial design through to production, ensuring high performance and reliability. They will also work closely with engineering teammates to ensure the designs are innovative and contribute to product enhancement strategies. The selected candidate will support development and testing while troubleshooting design issues, implementing improvements, and conducting analyses to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards. Candidates should have experience with microcontrollers and experience in the technology, defense, or robotics industries is a plus. Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- The ideal candidate will have a good mix of skills that includes a broad functional understanding of Systems Engineering
- Experience working with Linux is required
- Experience with developing firmware or microcontroller code (C, C ) required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
