What You'll Do
As a drill helper, your position will focus on assisting with operating a drill rig and performing test borings. Exposure to additional responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
- Ensure safety is always prioritized
- Obtain soil and rock samples from test borings using proper collection/handling methods
- Install monitoring wells, piezometers and inclinometers
- Prepare boring logs and field reports
- Perform drill rig and support vehicle maintenance
- Frequent service-friendly and effective communication with client/owner and drill operator/supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- Must possess Class A CDL
- No experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent - Preferred
- Mechanical ability (operator, repair, maintenance, welding, etc.) - Required
- Some heavy equipment, drilling, and/or construction related field experience - Preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
- CDL license - Preferred
- Must possess the ability to read, write and perform basic math
- Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
