As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented Wood Production Inventory Control Assistant to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Assistant will support the wood production team by managing raw materials, tracking stock levels, and ensuring efficient inventory flow. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate records, optimizing inventory processes, and assisting with production planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oraganize and maintain inventory records in designated areas.
- Prepare items and raw materials for shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, hardware, and finished products.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with purchasing to replenish supplies as needed.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming materials.
- Organize and label inventory in storage areas for easy access.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure materials are available for scheduled jobs.
- Assist in tracking work orders and production schedules.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- Basic Mathematic skills.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Forklift & Pallet Jack experience a plus.
- Wood Material familiarity ex. raw wood, wood sheet materials, veneer, and laminate a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or wood production preferred.
- Knowledge of store fixture manufacturing or woodworking materials is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience with MS Office, ERP Systems like Epicor preferred.
- Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
