Primary Role :
The ideal candidate will ensure there is a strong connection between the library, classroom programs, the curriculum, the school community, and the wider library community. The Charter Schools librarian collaborates with teaching staff to coordinate and promote services and resources supporting learning.
Qualifications : BA or BS degree in the related fieldMasters of Library Science degree preferredSkills, Duties, and Responsibilities :
Select, order, maintain and disseminate information in the library and virtual classroom to all faculty and studentsTeach faculty and students how to use the resources available in the library and provide support for class projects and researchTeach faculty and students how to use instructional technology applicationsKeep current with information, publications, technology, and formats used in the libraryMaintain library records including circulation, purchases, patrons, classes, and online accessGenerate reports for budgeting, yearly statistics, needs assessment, and other areas as neededGive book talks for classes, individual students, faculty, and staffParticipate in professional development opportunities to stay current in the field.
