The company builds strong relationships with the employees, customers and venders alike. Triad Metals is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) at our Columbia City, Indiana location.
A Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is a qualified professional who is responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of welding standards.
Successful Candidates will be expected to
- Ensure that welds and materials meet industry standards and specifics and specifications
- Review and approve welding procedures, and verify that welders comply with safety requirements
- Communicate findings to welders and other stakeholders
- Coordinate inspections with regulatory bodies
- Develop, implement, and oversee quality programs and measures
- Document inspection results accurately and precisely
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Review contract requirements and vendor / contract compliance
- Ensure that safety and environmental polices and procedures are being learned and followed
- Follow all safety and operating instructions
- Perform all other duties as assigned
