Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) to join our team. The LCAS will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive support and counseling to individuals struggling with addiction. Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions focused on addiction recovery.
- Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to support clients in overcoming substance use disorders.
- Collect and analyze data related to client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation of treatment plans and progress notes, adhering to ICD-9 coding standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, including home community care services.
- Engage in research activities to stay updated on best practices in addiction counseling and treatment methodologies.
- Provide education and resources for clients and their families regarding addiction issues and recovery strategies.
- Assist in the development of community outreach programs aimed at raising awareness about addiction and available resources.
Experience
- Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS).
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Leadership experience in clinical settings.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance abuse counseling or a related field.
