Heavy Equipment Operator

Triangle Grading and Paving, Inc. is seeking to hire Heavy Equipment Operators to safely and effectively operate heavy equipment vehicles at our Salisbury jobsite. The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate equipment such as Bulldozer and Track hoe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

• Operates various heavy equipment in compliance with the company's safety policies and procedures.
• Interacts with construction general laborers and/or crew members who are facilitating alignment, movement, and adjustment of the equipment to complete conformation of grade specifications for the construction project.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and perform maintenance duties on equipment.
• Assist labor crews and other operators in accomplishing specific tasks.
• Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Bulldozers and Trackhoes.
• Valid Drivers license.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a drug test.

Skill and Abilities

• Knowledge of the operating procedures and maintenance of equipment operated.
• General knowledge of the hazards and safety rules and regulations in equipment operation.
• Ability to perform physical labor required of the position.
• Posses high skill level in the operation of assigned equipment.
