Job Summary
As a Drug Screen Collector, you will be responsible for performing drug and alcohol collection services following strict chain-of-custody protocols. You will work with individuals undergoing testing and ensure that all procedures comply with federal, state, and company regulations. Maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy will be key to succeeding in this role.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct urine, breath, and hair drug screens in a professional and efficient manner.
- Maintain chain-of-custody documentation, ensuring all samples are properly labelled, stored, and transported.
- Adhere to established protocols and maintain compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
- Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of test results in line with HIPAA guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear instructions and answering questions about the testing process.
- Maintain and monitor inventory of supplies and materials required for testing.
- Accurately enter and manage test result records in the appropriate systems.
- Handle administrative tasks related to testing procedures, including scheduling and documentation.
- Provide support to team members and supervisors as necessary.
- Stay current on changes to drug testing protocols and regulations.
Job Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in specimen collection, drug testing, or related healthcare/diagnostic field (required).
- Certification: DOT Certification for Drug Screen Collection (preferred, employer may provide training).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with federal and state drug testing laws and regulations is a plus.
Schedule Requirements
- Monday through Friday, with some flexibility required for occasional weekends or evenings if necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in handling and documenting drug screens.
- Ability to interact with individuals respectfully and compassionately while maintaining professionalism.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information adhering to HIPAA standards and company policies.
- Knowledge of compliance standards, including DOT and non-DOT procedures (training may be provided).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
