DISC Surgery Center is seeking a per diem, temporary Medical Receptionist for our Valenica location. This is a temporary assignment, expected to last 3-4 months. This positions schedule will vary, Monday - Friday between the hours of 5am and 4pm PST.
In this position, you will:
- Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
- Maintain appearance of the lobby
- Answer/transfer incoming phone calls
- Prepare charts for surgery patients and readies for nurse review
- Obtain lab work and medical clearance for patients
- Assist with credentialing, medical records, accounts payable, billing/collections, insurance verification, and clinical logs as needed
- Perform other medical office functions, as needed
- High school Diploma/GED
- Experience in a medical office, hospital, outpatient surgery center, or related field
- Experience with Excel, Word, medical billing software and applications
- Medical Terminology knowledge
- The ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment with frequent interruptions
- Be able to lift 30lbs and be able to walk, stand, bend and reach for prolonged periods.
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00/hour
