The Position Overview
This position is responsible for utilizing and interpreting geospatial data, specifically LiDAR technology, to support forestry and fire management initiatives within the Tribal Forestry Division of Fire.
About You
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with expertise in GIS analysis, cartography, and spatial database design. A master's degree in geography, natural resources, computer science, or a closely related field is preferred. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in the same fields along with two years of increasingly responsible GIS experience will also be considered.

This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Tribes Drug Free Workplace Program. The incumbent is subject to random drug testing. CSKT is a tribal preference employer.

Requirements
- A valid State of Montana driver's license (BIA/Northwest Regional Office Safe Driver Approval required)
- Mastery of ArcGIS software components, extensions, and spreadsheets
- Experience working with LiDAR data and GIS database design
- Sound knowledge of forestry and fire concepts terminology
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field
