Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in geography, natural resources, or computer science and have experience with GIS database design and development, GPS applications, and sound cartographic knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop GIS databases and applications
- Analyze and interpret LiDAR data
- Develop maps and other visualizations to support forestry and fire management efforts
- Work closely with the Tribal Forestry Division of Fire team to identify and prioritize GIS projects
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in geography, natural resources, or computer science, or a Bachelor's degree in one of these fields with two years of relevant experience
- Experience with ArcGIS software components, extensions, and spreadsheets
- Knowledge of LiDAR data analysis and interpretation
- Excellent communication and project management skills
