What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parkside OB-GYN - PRN Telephone Triage Nurse position at TribeOne, LLC DBA the Onyx Group?
Job Title: Triage Nurse
Supervised by: Clinical Manager
Posting: Internal/External
Location: Remote, but will require on-site orientation and training
Position Overview: Provides accurate and responsive service to all calls received during regular business hours. Appropriately utilizes triage tools and collaborates with providers on an as needs basis to obtain orders for facilitating patient care. Schedules patients as needed for appointments.
Responsibilities:
1. Applies professional skills and knowledge of established concepts, principles, and practice to provide telephonic nursing services including, but not limited to, health information, health education, healthcare assessment and triage.
2. Identifies emergent situations and effectively transfers life threatening calls to appropriate agencies per protocol.
3. Accurately communicates information to physician as needed.
4. Conducts thorough and sound nursing assessments of caller’s presenting symptoms.
5. Develops, implements, and evaluates a plan of care for each caller presenting symptoms.
6. Applies nursing process to identify and prioritize healthcare triage interventions that are appropriate, accurate, effective, and reduce the risk of adverse outcomes.
7. Appropriately schedules patients as needed for follow-up appointments.
8. Returns calls in a timely manner.
9. Maintains patient confidentiality and strictly adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
10. Follows policy to document call inquiries clearly and thoroughly. Documentation will be completed immediately after the call ends.
11. Takes ownership of ensuring the Tribe Way is experienced by Parkside patients, families, and team members. Promotes an authentic, transparent work environment with Parkside team members. Always providing polite and courteous conversations.
12. Communicates transparently with Clinical Manager when issues arise or changes need to be made.
13. Must be able to meet during business hours for Clinical and Triage Team meetings.

Required Minimum Education & Certification:
- Current SC license RN required; 2 years RN experience (OBGYN experience preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills with customer service focus required
- Requires siting, standing, and walking associated with a normal physician office environment.
