Tribute Baking Company is a strategic combination of five businesses with rich histories in the baking industry! Always Bagels, Original Bagel, Hometown Foods USA, Just Bagels and Dutch Maid, together, create a market leading producer of authentic New York style kettle-boiled, hearth-baked bagels and high-quality cake products sold into the in-store bakery, club store, foodservice, convenience store, and online channels.
The Foodservice Sales Associate will partner with sales leaders and Company's local and corporate finance team to implement various sales related processes at the facility. This will include implementing a promotion/marketing tracking process, creating an accrual-based commission tracking and ensuring that promotions and advertising are properly matched to the correct sales period. The candidate will also respond to customer phone calls and emails. A successful candidate will also investigate deductions withheld by Company's customers and ensure that they are legitimate and properly stated.
This is an on-site position based in the Bronx, NY and requires limited travel.
Responsibilities
- Collecting receivables from Company's customers
- Investigating the legitimate nature of the deductions taken by customers
- Tracking promotions and advertising cost incurred by the Company and ensuring that they correspond to contractual obligations of the Company
- Creating a process by which commissions to Company's brokers are tracked paid on a timely basis
- Preparation of weekly/monthly sales performance reports
- Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Collaborate with other accounting staff and senior leadership to deliver accurate, relevant and timely reporting of sales data analytics, including weekly flash report
- Analyze and reconcile monthly sales and promotions
- Assist with tracking and executing various customer projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Possess a solid understanding of all the financial and sales/operating aspects of the areas of responsibility
- Proven ability to implement systems, process and controls
- Forecasting and strong collections/Accounts Receivable experience.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with a team of professionals inside and outside of accounting/finance.
- Proactive, hands-on, results oriented style.
- Undergraduate business degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks is preferred
- Presence in the NY office and limited travel
- Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills with practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved
- Prefer experience in food manufacturing
- Working with PE-back portfolio companies is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
