Job Description: Office Manager and Bookkeeper
Full-Time | Remote (Washington State)
Overview:
We are a specialized accounting firm exclusively serving nonprofit organizations. With over two decades of experience, we provide financial clarity, compliance, and strategic advice to nonprofit clients. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager and Bookkeeper to oversee internal office operations while supporting our accountants with external bookkeeping for nonprofit clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Management (Internal):
- Manage internal operations, including schedules, team workflows, and technology platforms (ClickUp, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams).
- Maintain internal policies, procedures, and operational documentation to support a streamlined workflow.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative issues, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Process firm payroll using Gusto.
- Prepare monthly billing documents for review.
Client Bookkeeping Support (External):
- Provide bookkeeping support to accountants working with nonprofit clients, including data entry, transaction categorization, reconciliations, and audit preparation using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Maintain accurate and detailed financial records for client accounts, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
- Communicate with clients to gather documentation and resolve bookkeeping-related questions.
- Support internal processes for new client onboarding
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4 years in office management and bookkeeping, preferably with exposure to nonprofit financials.
- Technical Expertise: QuickBooks Online (QBO), Gusto, ClickUp, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook), or similar
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bookkeeping Certification, QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification, or similar credentials.
- Location: Must reside in Washington State.
Compensation and Benefits:
