Description:
We are looking for a Collections and Accounting Admin to perform a variety of accounting tasks. Accounting Admin responsibilities include calling and emailing customers for past due invoices, ERP data entry, web invoicing, preparing reports, filing, and answering phones.
Requirements:Responsibilities
- Monitoring customer payments and past due accounts
- Contacts customers with overdue accounts to confirm receipt of invoices and payment dates
- Maintains records of collections efforts and customer contact
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Respond to and fulfill internal customer requests in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records in an accurate manner
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
- Constantly update job knowledge
Skills
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk
- Third Party Collections experience is a plus
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in MS Office and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
- Accuracy and a strong attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized
- High school degree
- Associate degree or relevant certification is a plus
