Trident Consulting is seeking a "Release Engineer for one of our clients in Concord, CA . A global leader in business and technology services.
Role: Release Engineer
Location: Concord, CA (Hybrid 3 days (Tue - Thu) office in a week)
Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and Git.
- Coordinate software releases and deployments in close collaboration with development, QA, and infrastructure teams.
- Automate deployment processes leveraging Azure Cloud resources (App Services, Function Apps, and Logic Apps).
- Oversee version control, branching strategies, and release schedules.
- Monitor deployments, quickly identifying and resolving any issues or defects.
- Document release processes and best practices, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
- Continuously improve release management processes through the adoption of Agile methodologies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong experience managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.
- Proficient in Atlassian Cloud products, including Jira and Confluence.
- Solid knowledge of source code management with Git.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot deployment and integration issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 year s experience in release engineering, CI/CD, or related technical roles.
