JOB OVERVIEW
We are an Internal Medicine primary care practice with two providers, Dr. Nyra Khetarpal and Nina Suh, PA-C. We are seeking full-time medical assistants to join our team. Our practice focuses on primary care for adults, including preventative care, managing acute and chronic conditions, and helping patients navigate the health system. We value compassionate, enthusiastic team members who want to make a difference in our patients’ lives and grow their skills. One of our providers is Spanish-speaking, so a bilingual Spanish-speaking Medical Assistant is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We help to train medical assistants with new knowledge and skills
Handling patient information with appropriate sensitivity and confidentiality
Prepare patients for appointments with the physician and physician assistant
Perform basic Medical Assistant tasks, including but not limited to vital signs, EKGs, point of care testing, and administering injections.
Front office duties, including patient check-in and check-out
Answering phone calls and communicating with patients via telephone, messaging and email
Documenting clearly in the electronic health record
QUALIFICATIONS
Medical Assistant Certification/Degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
Positive attitude and desire to learn
Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Basic computer skills (electronic health record, email, spreadsheets)
Basic life support (BLS) certification
Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
