What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Sonographer position at TridentCare2019?
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a regular scheduled case load when not assisting Technical Supervisor.
- Assist in the technical training for new hires and existing staff, as needed
- Assist in the management of designated technical staff scheduling. Inclusive of regular schedules, on call schedules, holiday schedules, vacation schedules and other coverage issues
- Expected to trouble shoot minor equipment problems and advise or initiate a service call as needed
- Acts as a resource for other sonographers when clinical or technical issues arise.
- Responds to any issue(s) or complaint(s) arising from a facility, by being proactive in providing an immediate solution
- Acts as a backup for any STAT request if a field sonographer in his/her area is unable to respond or report to the ordering facility
- Escalates any issue(s) to the director of ultrasound as needed
- Participates as needed in the field orientation of new sonographer
- Required to perform other duties as needed
SKILLS|EXPERIENCE:
- Must have and maintain ARDMS or CCI certification
- Must have and maintain valid a state issued Drivers License
- Must have and maintain a good driving record
