About the Role
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment at an assigned school site or facility within the Trigg County School District. The successful candidate will perform routine custodial activities, including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors, as well as vacuuming rugs and carpets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine custodial activities to maintain buildings, locker rooms, and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition.
- Clean classrooms, restrooms, showers, locker rooms, shops, cafeteria, offices, and related facilities as assigned.
- Report safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to appropriate authorities and recommend maintenance repairs.
- Maintain security of buildings and report suspicious or unauthorized individuals on campus.
- Perform heavy physical labor, including lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- The ability to pass a criminal record check and meet health requirements as specified by Kentucky State Law is necessary.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
