Overview

The Sales Manager for Robots, specifically focusing on Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), plays a critical role in driving sales growth in the MidWest region of the USA. This position is pivotal in overseeing the sales team, developing and executing sales strategies, and fostering strong relationships with clients. As the demand for automation solutions continues to rise, the Sales Manager will ensure that the company stays competitive by understanding market trends and customer needs. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and sales expertise, as the Sales Manager will communicate effectively with clients who rely on innovative automated solutions in their operations. Success in this position hinges on the ability to lead a dynamic sales team, facilitate collaborations across departments, and leverage insights from market analysis to foster growth and meet sales targets. The Sales Manager will act as a key liaison between the company and its clients, ensuring that both parties achieve their objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies for AMRs and AGVs.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the MidWest region.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key accounts and prospective customers.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales tactics.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Analyze sales data and metrics to evaluate team performance and revenue growth.
  • Prepare and manage sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to launch promotional campaigns.
  • Participate in industry events and trade shows to promote products.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients.
  • Resolve customer concerns and provide exceptional after-sales support.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
  • Train and develop sales staff on product features and sales techniques.
  • Work closely with engineering and product development teams to ensure alignment with customer needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management or similar roles.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of robotic technologies, particularly AMRs and AGVs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a sales team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel within the MidWest region as required.
  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably in technology or automation sectors.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing tasks.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a passion for sales.
  • Technical aptitude to understand and explain complex robotic solutions to clients.
