Job Overview:
The primary role of this position is to serve as a liaison for a diverse range of laboratory clients. The incumbent will procure quality specimens from patients of all age groups—adults, geriatrics, pediatrics, and infants—for diagnostic testing in accordance with CLIA, TJC, and CAP guidelines, and may also perform EKGs on outpatients. Additionally, this role involves making and receiving phone calls from customers, gathering necessary data for service and billing, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues. Responsibilities include completing documentation to meet OIG compliance guidelines, which includes accurately interpreting and transcribing physician orders and performing LIS/HIS order entry. The role may also require the receipt of incoming specimens, entry of patient demographics and test orders into LIS/HIS systems, labeling of specimens, and distribution to appropriate laboratory departments for testing.

Work Hours:
- Full-time, 72 hours bi-weekly
- Day Shift
- Weekend and holiday rotation
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- No equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- 1-2 years of experience in Phlebotomy
