We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our client's team, a very exciting high-tech company in Boston. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key cross-functional role in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate financial modeling and deliver actionable recommendations. What will this role entail?
- Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to analyze, plan, and forecast departmental and functional financials.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets while preparing ad-hoc financial reports and analyses.
- Analyze financial outcomes and provide actionable insights to support strategic initiatives, cost optimization, and investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to enhance the accuracy of operating expense forecasts.
- Engage in cross-functional projects with stakeholders from Corporate Strategy, Product, Engineering, and Operations.
- Prepare and assist in presenting findings to key stakeholders, including the Finance leadership team.
- Support the FP&A teams by performing data analysis, building reports, and maintaining and administering financial systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, economics, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- 3-5 years of professional experience beyond your academic career.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, including the ability to build complex financial models and perform scenario analyses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey complex financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in the high-tech industry as well as a startup environment is highly desirable
- Experience with Alteryx or comparable business intelligence and analytics tools is a plus.
- Experience with Vena Solutions or comparable FP&A tools is a plus.
