What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Hand position at TRIKNTRUX?
Job Summary
This job will start out part time. We have 2 shift options, Monday - Friday 9 to 1, or 1 to 5. The morning shift has potential to provide more hours. This can turn into a full time position for the right person. As a Shop Hand, you will be helping assemble, install or installing on your own, aftermarket parts and accessories. This position is very physically demanding and requires patience and problem solving skills. You must be able to work in all types of weather conditions. Our shops are not temperature controlled. You must be willing to get dirty. We are a growing, small family business looking for someone that is willing to do hard work with a good attitude and a mind to learn. We are not in a hurry and will take our time to find the best fit for our operation. Experience is a plus and pay can reflect that. Although, we are very willing to train the right person. If you are good with tools, interested in trucks, don't mind hard, get your hands dirty kind of work and have a willingness to learn or have experience in the field we would love to meet you.
Duties
- Assist in assembling and installing a variety of aftermarket parts and accessories
- Operate power tools, air tools and hand tools to complete tasks
- Support the shop in maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Skills
- Experience with power tools and hand tools is a must
- Familiarity with operating forklifts is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must
- Previous experience in a shop setting, especially installing aftermarket parts is advantageous, but not required
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge preferred
- Experience with hand tools a must
- Proficiency with power tools a must
- Ability to work efficiently & multitask
- Previous experience in a shop environment preferred, but not required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
