Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential weekends and night shifts as needed
Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Regional Phlebotomy Lead to oversee and support our phlebotomy operations across various locations in Illinois. This role involves leadership, travel, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
- Collaborate with the Phlebotomy Supervisor to ensure adequate staffing at client locations, including hospitals, outpatient, and inpatient facilities.
- Provide on-site coverage as needed and oversee phlebotomy staff schedules.
- Train and mentor new hires and existing staff on phlebotomy techniques, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
Quality Control and Compliance
- Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and federal, state, and local licensure requirements.
- Perform quality assurance audits and address any procedural issues.
Client Relations and Facility Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare facility clients.
- Address and resolve client complaints effectively and professionally.
- Oversee the maintenance, safety, and cleanliness of all assigned facilities, including site visits and audits.
Inventory and Equipment Management
- Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and proper maintenance of equipment across locations.
Travel and Coverage
- Travel to various sites across Illinois, staying on location as needed to train and manage teams.
- Ensure smooth operations and staffing at all locations.
Project and Process Improvement
- Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Organize and present findings to management as needed.
QualificationsRequired Experience
- Supervisory/Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years.
- Phlebotomy/Healthcare Experience: Minimum 5 years in phlebotomy or a related medical setting.
Education
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a high-volume environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged standing and sitting.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 40 pounds).
- Extensive phone and PC usage.
Schedule
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends and travel as required (up to 75% travel)
