Essential Job Functions:
The Environmental Professional will complete QA/QC reviews of ASTM E1527 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and other environmental due diligence reports such as ASTM E1903 Phase II ESAs, ASTM E1528 Transaction Screen Assessments (TSAs), and SBA SOP 50 10 7.1 Record Search with Risk Assessments (RSRAs). This full-time role is a position serving Trileaf’s Environmental Commercial Real Estate team in St. Louis. The position is salaried and can be in-office in St. Louis or remote. The associated tasks are summarized below:
- Perform QA/QC on various environmental reports completed by other staff to ensure quality prior to submission
- Ensure reports are consistently reviewed on time to be delivered to clients under strict deadlines
- Provide detailed, concise, and constructive feedback to staff following each review
- Report to management about individual staff proficiencies and deficiencies, and participate in company-wide standardization efforts
- Communicate with environmental scientists and management daily about any anticipated environmental concerns or delays to anticipated delays to report delivery
- Participate in discussions with clients on an as-needed basis to explain report findings / opinions
- Develop work plans for Phase II ESAs when further investigation is recommended
Qualifications and Skills
The idea candidate will be prepared to show knowledge and experience in the following:
- Environmental Professional (EP) status in accordance with ASTM E1527 (Professional Engineer/PE, or Professional Geologist/PG, or 5 years of Phase I ESA or relevant experience) is required
- Strong grasp of spelling, grammar, technical writing, professional etiquette, and principles of environmental risk management is required
- Experience with managing staff or fostering professional development of staff is preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, or related field
