As a Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include reviewing project plans, estimating costs, and managing bids. You will prepare necessary paperwork such as submittals, cost breakdowns, and subcontractor approvals. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will ensure that all required documentation is processed accurately. You will also maintain project logs, meeting minutes, and other important documents, while overseeing project scheduling and coordinating with superintendents to meet deadlines. Additionally, you will manage project budgets, handle subcontractor agreements, scopes of work, and purchase orders, track changes to projects, and manage all change order requests.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need strong organizational and project management skills, the ability to read blueprints and understand construction documents, and excellent communication skills. Experience with construction software and project management tools is a plus. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a field-based role, is essential.
