Safety Technician

Trillium Construction is seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to join the safety team of a large, well-established contractor in Taylor, Texas.

The Safety Technician will play a vital role in promoting workplace safety by conducting inspections, implementing safety programs, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards. Hourly pay is between $30/hr - $35/hr, working approximately 50 hours per week.

Duties:

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of equipment, facilities, and work areas to identify potential hazards
• Ensure the workplace complies with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe working conditions, providing thorough documentation and recommending corrective actions
• Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors
• Evaluate potential risks and develop preventive measures to reduce incidents and injuries
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in a safety or compliance role is highly desirable
• OSHA 30 Certification required
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety software
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
