Purchasing Manager 1

The primary focus of the Purchasing Manager is to provide strategic leadership to the procurement professionals on the team.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute a strategic procurement plan that ensures long term availability and cost stability for key items and materials and support Best Cost Country sourcing
• Coordinate with Production Planning to ensure material availability to support the master schedule
• Provide leadership, training and development to the Purchasing team
• Develop and maintaining relationships with vendors
• Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers

Successful Candidates will possess the following:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
• 10 or more years supply chain experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• 5 or more years of Supply Chain management experience
• Demonstrated expertise in developing relationships with Best Cost Country suppliers
