Technical Sales Representative needed for this terrific Lewis Center area company in the natural gas and utility field!
Technical Sales Representatives are responsible for quoting, creating sales orders, and maintaining communication with customers. This job will require training in order to properly and safely size gas meters, regulators, and instrumentation. Customers are primarily natural gas utilities but also include commercial and industrial clients.
It is expected that a level of proficiency sufficient enough to work independently to create your own quotes and orders will require anywhere from 6-12 months of training, depending on your ability to grasp training concepts and technology.
The Technical Sales Rep position has a well-defined promotion path in which employees are offered promotions in exchange for becoming technical experts over time. The candidate must show an ability to learn new concepts quickly and be willing to spend time with customers solving unique problems.
Knowledge and experience working with gas utilities or within the natural gas industry will be helpful and a significant benefit.
Responsibilities :
Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers
Prospect and contact potential customers
Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
Create sales material to present to customers

Salary range will be based on experience and be in the $55-60,000 range. Quarterly bonus opportunity that amounts to 5-8% of base salary. Schedule is 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.

Qualifications :
Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
Familiarity with CRM and / or ERP platforms
Ability to build rapport with clients
