Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a large crew on occasion, though the typical team size ranges from 2-4 members.
• Assign tasks, ensure productivity, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Provide guidance and address any issues that may arise among team members.
• Work closely with the asset manager to oversee and ensure proper maintenance of all equipment.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and enhance equipment longevity.
• Oversee the process of recertifying iron and valves to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with relevant technicians and maintain detailed records of certification processes.
• Ensure the shop and yard are organized, clean, and safe for daily operations.
• Regularly inspect facilities for maintenance needs and address issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in shop management is preferred.
• 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Welding skills to perform repairs or oversee welding tasks.
• Strong knowledge of standard hand tools and their proper usage.
• Ability to maintain and repair trailers and tires, ensuring roadworthiness, and managing necessary spare parts.
• Skilled in operating loaders, skid steers, and forklifts, with proper training and certification.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor electrical wiring tasks.
• Experience in managing inventory of shop supplies and coordinating procurement to maintain operational readiness.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for inventory management and maintaining organized records.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations for trailer operation and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or further education is a plus.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Depending on workload, there may be some weekends needed or on-call situations.

• Company truck can be provided.
