What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Training and Education Director position at Trilogy?
The Clinical Training and Education Director will oversee clinical training and education for Trilogy by developing the vision, operating model, and implementation plan for clinical staff. They will hold expertise in proven clinical training approaches, evidenced-based behavioral health practices, and compliance requirements, while staying abreast of new research and modalities within community mental health that improve clinical quality and reduce variation in clinical service delivery. The Clinical Training and Education Director will lead the provision of training, continuing education, and coaching to new and existing clinical employees throughout the agency. This will be achieved through the curation of external trainings, the creation of new trainings specific to Trilogy's needs, updating and improving current trainings, and developing training and education tracks for specific roles. They will be expected to develop relationships with Trilogy clinical, operational, quality assurance, and human resources leaders, industry thought leaders, and external trainers and partners. The Clinical Training and Education Director will also directly supervise clinical field trainers and support them in coordinating training schedules with clinical leadership and onboarding training material to help employees meet milestones. They will be pivotal in supporting clinical staff to build their clinical skills through training and work closely with clinical leaders to identify gaps, push forward initiatives, and incorporate Trilogy's values into the clinical work.

Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee development and implementation of an annual clinical training plan for the agency while working closely with clinical leadership, quality assurance, and human resources leaders.
- Identify gaps in clinical skills and knowledge through working with clinical leadership and quality assurance to review performance information, understand the results of assessments, develop plans to address and skill up staff.
- Build relationships with expert trainers in the field to provide education in evidence-based practices, serving as the main point of contact for scheduling, developing, and maintaining these trainings as needed.
- Design role-based tracks and training approaches for common clinical roles.
- Develop annual metrics for total training and education attainment by clinical staff and develop reports and materials to track progress against attainment in collaboration with HR and the Quality Department.
- Design and update in-person and electronic training around clinical topics to ensure that they remain trauma responsive, client centered, strengths based, recovery oriented, harm reduction focused and maintain evidence-based approaches and practices.
- Deliver training during new hire orientation and conduct team based / program-based training on a variety of topics depending on clinical need.
- Serve as a thought partner for clinical staff in designing portfolios to effectively meet continuing education requirements with collaboration from Human Resources.
- Conduct virtual / in-person training for clinical staff and leadership focusing on evidenced based practices for both established and emerging mental health and substance use topics.
- Employ a variety of training techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to maximum effectiveness of training delivered.
- Become certified to facilitate CPR / First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, QPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention trainings, CPI, etc. for employees.
- Provide direct supervision and oversight of clinical field trainers and support in professional development, performance assessment and management, and ongoing feedback related to their roles.
- Lead interview process for clinical field trainer roles and support with their training and integration into the agency.
- Cultivate positive professional working relationships with teams, leadership, and new employees to ensure training of newest information is communicated.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner; and communicate effectively and appropriately to others about potential organization issues.

- Actively engage in ongoing professional development, staying updated on the latest training methodologies, industry trends, and technological advancements to effectively lead and design training programs within the organization
