Job Description
- Will be responsible to install device images on all selfhost devices (10-150 units).
- Communicate/interface with Windows OS team and identify and retrieve the early builds of Windows OS as a base.
- Communicate with platform software leads and identify collection of drivers, BIOS and applications that need to be added to device image.
- Use tools like DISM and WinPE to create and manipulate custom OS images.
- Understand how to manage and extract the Windows Driver Store to migrate and install drivers.
- Generate basic scripts in PowerShell.
- Understand diskpart and storage device provisioning.
- Download and rum Microsoft ADK for testing.
- Run Suspend to test sleep, hibernate and reboot cycles.
- Run ad hoc testing to reproduce failure scenarios.
- Prep devices for demos (special HW configurations, SW and test loads)
- Run around Austin campus troubleshooting, delivering and replacing test devices.
- Assemble computers, power supplies, memory, processors and other components and get device running.
- Read and follow CRB Guides to flash basic firmware to get CRBs working.
- Learn/know how to use dediprog to flash SPI components.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering would be a nice to have but not a must have
