Trim and Proper Grooming Parlor is a busy quality-driven dog grooming salon with a cheerful luxury style atmosphere. It offers full service dog grooming, bathing, and a la carte services to dedicated clients in Bennet Valley and the surrounding areas. Focusing on attention to detail while maintaining the well-being of the pets in our care is Trim and Proper’s number one priority. With our ever growing client list, we are in need of a full time receptionist to allow our groomers fewer interruptions while working on the pets in their care.
As the receptionist, your main responsibility is to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of clerical tasks, scheduling, and cash handling. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our salon. You will welcome clients and inform groomers of clients' arrival. Often you will check in pets for our groomers. You will then receive payment for finished grooms and assist in rescheduling clients. To be successful as a receptionist, you should have a positive and upbeat demeanor, as this is concurrently a customer service role. You should feel comfortable with enforcing policies and handling mild grievances. Multitasking and attention to detail are essential for success in this position. Ultimately, a receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests warmly, and executes all clerical tasks to the highest quality standards. The receptionist position is also in charge of managing some of the salons social media. Examples include, holiday posts, important announcements, stories highlighting some of the cuties we get to see through out the day.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome clients as soon as they arrive at the salon
- Advise groomers when a client has arrived for a pick up/drop off
- Often check-in/ out clients and bring dogs back into the working area for groomers
- Clean up dog accidents and messes
- Communicate the different services we offer to clients
- Answer incoming phone calls and acquire information from the appropriate groomers to answer clients' questions
- Contact vet clinics to get vaccine information
- Detailed message and note taking
- Receiving payment for services rendered
- Ensure reception area is tidy, presentable, and retail area is stocked
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via text/phone/email
- Schedule appointments (after extensive training)
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and printing forms
- Take inventory and order product
- Vacuum work area and do laundry
- Create posts on our social media platforms

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
