Summary of Position:
The Distribution Sales Rep is responsible for working with assigned Regional Sales Manager to support and achieve region sales goals by performing the following duties:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overnight travel to visit new and existing customers and attend relevant trade shows.
- Identify and properly qualify new business opportunities using available resources.
- Provide customer support by responding to customer inquiries and requests.
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Partner with current customers to ascertain current needs and generate additional sales.
- Work closely with marketing to recognize & promote sales opportunities.
- Ensure that CRM system is current and updated with accurate customer and prospect information.
- Routinely pull and reference system reports for additional sales opportunities.
- Execute timely preparation of all expense reports, call reports and assigned projects.
- Keep management and sales team members informed of all relevant activity.
- Update merchandising support materials during dealer visits:
- Replace old catalogs with most up to date.
- Organize showroom products and displays.
- Check condition of displays and replace if needed.
- Take and upload to CRM, dated photos of showrooms, Trim-Tex product placement before and after organizing.
- Check for completion of all required dealer protocol metrics.
- Establish contractor visits through our dealers to demonstrate the competitive advantage of our products.
- Participate in company sponsored events, dealer shows, trade shows and product knowledge sessions.
- Visit Jobsites with Regional Manager.
Annual Salary : $80, 000.00
Qualifications
Technical Requirements Education, Areas of Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in the construction industry with an understanding of the drywall industry.
- Ability to develop deep relationships to close and maintain business.
- Experience working at a job site with drywall products is preferred.
- Ability to use CRM system and MS Office.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and technical procedures.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
