POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of ERP & Applications Development reports to the Chief Information Officer
Located in either Chicago, (Bedford Park) or Lewisville Texas
Full-Time
Hybrid
20%-30% Travel required
The Director, ERP Applications, is responsible for the strategic leadership and execution of ERP solutions for Trimark, a national leader in restaurant supply and provider of food service supplies and equipment. The ERP solutions support TriMark’s core business operations and enable digital connectivity. This includes ensuring solutions remain aligned with the strategic requirements of the business. This position is also responsible for managing and developing the team of IT professionals who support those applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
Translate business strategies, initiatives, goals and objectives into projects and/or proposals.
Drive the delivery of ERP projects that enable the divisions/ Service Lines to drive rapid customer acquisition and expanded revenue growth
Team Leadership and Talent Development:
Create a high performing ERP organization by developing and attracting talent, as well as mentoring, coaching and developing up-and-coming leaders.
Drive talent development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of the ERP & Applications Development team.
ERP Strategy and Implementation Oversight:
Drive standardization of business processes and service offerings across the global organization; lead the development and communicate application standards, controls and guidelines.
Translate technical concepts and break down complex business problems into easily understandable communications - visual, written and verbal that can be understood by less technically oriented stakeholders, including senior executives.
Own and drive the JDE ERP governance process including Project Approvals. SLAs, Issue Resolutions and Priority Setting
Applications Development Management:
Direct the end-to-end development and maintenance of applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and innovative software solutions.
Implement and promote best practices in coding standards and development methodologies.
Project Portfolio Governance:
Govern the strategic planning and coordination of the ERP and applications development project portfolio.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within established timelines and objectives.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Implement and oversee robust quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and excellence of software applications.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in ERP and applications development.
User Support and Training Oversight:
Own and drive the JDE ERP governance process including Project Approvals. SLAs, Issue Resolutions and Priority Setting
Manage vendor relationships / metrics: create SOW, resource acquisition, establishing metrics.
Financial management of department, projects and resources.
Ensure that all project commitments are met or exceeded.
Remain up to date with technical and industry developments.
Technology Roadmap Development:
Contribute to the development of the organization's overall technology roadmap, ensuring ERP and applications align with broader technological objectives.
COMPETENCIES:

Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, focusing on optimizing complex software applications.
Provide strategic oversight for second-level user support, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
Govern the strategic planning and coordination of the ERP and applications development project portfolio.
Develop and drive the strategic direction for ERP systems and applications development, aligning with organizational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
10 years implementing and/or managing ERP solutions, preferably JD Edwards.
10 years leading and developing a high performing IT team
7 years’ experience with financial management and/or supply chain management with deep understanding of financial processes
7 Project Management experience.
Solid understanding of the application development lifecycle
5 years’ experience with systems and process transformations
5 years’ experience with procure to pay/order to cash process
5 years’ experience with EDI and data integration platforms
Infor M3 Certified.
Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
Salary : $220,000 - $240,000
