We are seeking a Director of Finance and Accounting to play a key role in the organization’s strategic financial decision-making and fiduciary responsibility. The selected candidate will manage all aspects of financial risk; develops and implements financial systems; ensures compliance with regulatory requirements; and leads an effective financial management infrastructure to ensure alignment between financial goals and strategic priorities, and the sustained financial health of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with respect to organizational goals, budgets and forecasts, and provide analysis to the executives and board on a regular basis.
- Create financial objectives that align with organization’s strategies.
- Develop revenue projections and organizational budget, monitor and make recommendations for adjustments throughout the year
- Oversee financial operations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Establish Key Performance Indicators for financial department and provide update to the executives and board on a regular basis.
- Review, analyze, and interpret financial data and report on performance to executives and board on a regular basis.
- Conduct scenario planning and financial modeling to support strategic decisions.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensue data integrity.
- Provide strategic financial planning advise to upper management for long-term growth.
- Oversee external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
- Approve month-end financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, along with their supporting work papers.
- Oversee company cash flow
- Over see the operations of the Accounting Department, establishing internal work processes and monitor progress.
- Assess company spendings and work to reduce costs.
- Other duties and special projects as directed by Executives and Partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE ANDF ACCOUNTING
- Bachelor’s degree in Business required. Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Job costing, depreciation and reporting software experience.
- Intermediate-Advanced experience in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Consolidated financial statements and multiple branches experience preferred.
- Perform other duties as directed.
TARGET SALARY RANGE: $145,000 - $200,000. Discretionary Bonus Potential. Other benefits include medical, dental, 401k, generous PTO and other great benefits.
