Job Summary:
The Senior Associate, Credit Portfolio Management will research complex financial and credit information for commercial business or high net worth customer loan packages according to business unit standards. They review basic issues, policies, or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, focusing on low to medium risk tasks and deliverables. The team underwrites loans with aggregate credit exposure based on approved credit authority limits, investigates credit standards, and determines the creditworthiness of high-net-worth loans. Members receive direction from their supervisor and exercise independent judgment while developing an understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Additionally, they collaborate and consult with managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders, including both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Asset management interactions have increased significantly due to higher volumes of borrower requests caused by market volatility.
- Delinquency, SS Transfers, and Trigger Escalations are continually increasing.
- Research complex financial and credit information for commercial business or high net worth customer loan packages, according to business unit standards within the Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional area.
- Review basic issues, policies, or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to low to medium risk tasks and deliverables.
- Underwrite loans with aggregate credit exposure based on approved credit authority limits.
- Investigate credit standards and determine the creditworthiness of high-net-worth loans.
- Receive direction from a supervisor and exercise independent judgment while developing an understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate and consult with managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders, including both internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- 6 months of experience in Commercial Banking Portfolio Management, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following:
