Job Summary:

The Associate, Commercial Banking Portfolio Management is responsible for supporting the financial analysis and underwriting of commercial and high net worth customer loan packages. This role involves working within the Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional area to ensure adherence to business standards and contribute to effective credit decision-making. The Associate collaborates with managers and stakeholders to maintain robust credit portfolios and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of complex financial and credit information for commercial business and high net worth customer loan packages.
• Address basic issues, policies, or procedures efficiently, focusing on low to medium risk tasks and deliverables.
• Underwrite loans with aggregate credit exposure in accordance with approved credit authority limits.
• Investigate credit standards and assess the creditworthiness of high net worth loans, ensuring alignment with portfolio objectives.
• Operate under the guidance of a supervisor, exercising independent judgment while gaining a comprehensive understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate and consult with managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders, including both internal and external customers, to facilitate effective portfolio management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and credit reports.
• Familiarity with commercial banking products and processes.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with internal teams and external clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for financial analysis and reporting.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
• Basic understanding of regulatory compliance in the commercial banking sector.
