Overview
To serves to provide appropriate musical support during the designated worship service. The Army is subject to statutory regulation (U.S. Code Title 10 and Army Regulation 165-1 [para. 5-1]), which ensures the free exercise of religious preference. This program serves to support the Chaplaincy's ministry by providing musical support services to bring quality worship services to the Soldiers and their families.

Duties Scope:

The Musician shall provide all musical leadership and accompaniment necessary to support the Catholic Services, including the Saturday and Sunday Masses along with the special services, as described in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). The scope of services to be provided includes, but is not limited to, leading and selecting hymns, choruses, and spiritual songs, performing preludes, postludes, offertory, and background music for meditation and prayers, in a manner that enhances the atmosphere of worship for the particular congregation, while being intimately familiar with the Catholic Services and its liturgical requirements. The Musician shall perform to the standards and acceptable quality levels identified in this PWS, including playing a prelude for at least 15 minutes prior to the designated Worship Service/Ceremony start time and a postlude of at least 5 minutes at the conclusion of the Worship Service/Ceremony
