We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Scheduler to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced medical environment. Responsibilities
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments while ensuring optimal use of the clinic's time and resources.
- Maintain accurate patient information, insurance and update scheduling systems as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointment details, including any necessary preparations or documentation required.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries in a professional manner, providing excellent patient service.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Skills
- Experience in a medical office setting is essential; familiarity with medical clinics is a plus.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as eClinical
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy office environment.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in medical scheduling is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
