Douglas Brooke Family of companies is looking for an experienced mechanic to service and repair fleet vehicles and construction equipment (Excavators, Skid Steers). This is a remote contractor position that will collaborate with the Site Superintendent to ensure fleet vehicles and equipment are safely and efficiently operating.
Responsibilities :
- Consulting with the Site Superintendent and reviewing vehicle repair request forms to triage fleet repair needs.
- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions.
- Preparing work plans and quotes for submittal to the COO after evaluating and diagnosing the vehicle or equipment.
- Traveling to local worksites or the fleet yard to complete repairs as needed.
- Coordinating with leadership when repairs or maintenance needed requires third party repair shops.
- Test driving repaired vehicles (as class of license allows) to gauge their performance.
- Completing preventative maintenance such as oil changes, brake etc. on pick up trucks.
