Trinity Industries, Inc. is hiring a Career Material Handler at our Distribution Center in Fort Worth, TX.

In this role, the Material Handler performs shop order-picking away activities associated with an assigned warehouse area.
What you'll do:
- Utilize the ERP system (BPCS/LX) to perform inventory transactions and inquiries, including the use of mobile barcode devices
- Optimize storage locations based on part velocity and volume policiea
- Act as backup for multiple areas when required
- Operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts, man-lifts, pallet jacks, to move material
- Assure that material counts are accurately reflected in the system and that material is stored according to defined policies and procedures
- Operate material handling equipment (forklift, order pickers, pallet jacks)
- Able to identify part types and methods of storage associated with assigned area
- Perform put-away and picking functions utilizing BPCS barcode devices
- Maintain accurate stock counts, locations, and product IDs in assigned areas
- Rearrange material as directed for optimization
- Initiate and maintains all applicable paperwork as required
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
What you'll need:
- Minimum 6 months’ forklift operating experience
- Minimum 6 months’ experience working in a team environment
- Minimum 6 months’ data entry experience
- Experience in warehousing activities requiring a high level of precision and productivity
