Service Center Attendant

Service Center Attendant
As a Service Center Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for Trinity Center members and staff. This position combines janitorial responsibilities with customer service duties, ensuring that all areas remain well-kept while providing compassionate support to members who use the facilities to take showers and do laundry.
Responsibilities
Daily Cleaning - 20% - Ensure a clean, and safe working and service environment for all staff, members, and visitors:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and countertops
- Empty trash and recycling bins, ensuring proper disposal.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Dust furniture, walls, and fixtures.
Shower, Restroom & Laundry Area Management - 60% - Manage shower and laundry usage:
- Check in members for shower and/or laundry, while completing service logs.
- Clean and sanitize the shower seat, towel rack, fixtures, and floor after each use.
- Ensure restrooms are stocked with essential supplies (toilet paper, soap, hand towels, seat covers).
- Regularly sanitize restroom fixtures and surfaces.
- Monitor washers and dryers to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain the cleanliness of washers and dryers.
- Keep laundry areas well-stocked and organized.
- Promptly address any restroom or laundry area maintenance issues.
General Maintenance & Member Support - 10% - Ensure all equipment and space is readily accessible:
- Remove trash and recycling from designated areas.
- Clean spills and messes immediately.
- Maintain and organize janitorial supplies.
- Ensure bathing supplies, towels, and toiletries are stocked and accessible.
- Provide immediate customer service support to members using a trauma-informed care approach.
Safety & Security - 5% - Ensure the safety of members, staff, and facility through adherence of safety protocols:
- Follow safety protocols when using cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Secure the facility by locking doors and windows at the end of shifts
- Report any safety hazards or security concerns to management.
- Communicate any member concerns to Case Managers immediately.
Other Duties - 5%
- Assist with additional cleaning or maintenance tasks as needed.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with members and staff.
- Adhere to Trinity Center's policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience working in an environment that provided basic services, hospitality, and support for vulnerable people.
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus
Required skills
- Ability to perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
