What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upper School Mathematics Teacher position at Trinity Christian Academy?
We are looking for a dedicated teacher and Christ follower to teach Mathematics to our Upper School students. We seek an individual who embodies spiritual and emotional maturity, exhibiting a consistent Christlike character and a steadfast commitment to professionalism. As an Upper School math teacher, you will encourage your students to understand and appreciate God's order and design in creation, that God's creation is not chaotic that it is predictable and reliable, and that God created humans with critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This position is for the 2025-26 school year.

General Responsibilities
- Full-time teaching load - 5 classes (classes to include Algebra I, Algebra II and/or Geometry)
- Grade and record all applicable assignments
- Ability to build a good rapport with students
- Work cohesively with other members of the TCA Math department
- Demonstrate the fruits of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) in daily work, and interactions with colleagues and others
- Degree in Mathematics or BS in Secondary Education degree with a Mathematics emphasis
- Advanced degree preferred, but not required
- Experience in teaching high school students is preferred but not required
- 7th-12th grade or Secondary Math Certification preferred, but not required
- Ability to effectively interact with students, parents and employees
- Have a willing heart for service (Ephesians 6:7)
- Agree with and support TCA’s Doctrinal, Biblical and Mission statements and Christian values
- Normal physical demands of teaching (including, but not limited to standing, reaching, stooping, squatting down, kneeling, and occasional lifting)
- Must be able to give, receive and analyze information, prepare written materials and input information into computer.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with colleagues, students and parents, answering questions in a professional and friendly manner.
- Willing to partner with parents to provide an exceptional education academically, spiritually and socially; committed to educate and develop the whole person for the glory of God
