What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Faculty for Introduction to Physical Science position at Trinity Christian College?
Adjunct instructor needed to teach Physics 101: Introduction to Physical Science starting in August of 2025. Physics 101 is an introductory course for non-majors principally taken by students majoring in education. This class is an introductory lab-based course on the basic laws and principles of classical physics, atomic physics, and chemistry. Time is divided between units covering mechanics, heat and waves, electricity, atomic physics, and chemistry.
Salary is $2160 for the 3 credit course.
Lecture will meet from 7:50 – 9:05am on Tuesday and Fridays. Labs will be held on Monday mornings from 8:30 – 10:30.
Previous versions of the course have used the textbook Conceptual Physical Science, 6th Edition, Paul G. Hewitt, et.al. and the lab guide Laboratory Guide, 13th Edition, J. T. Shipman, et.al. Cengage.
Requirements:
- Degree required: Masters of Science in physics or chemistry
- Degree preferred: Ph.D. in Physics
- Experience required or preferred: Undergraduate teaching
