Trinity Washington University seeks an experienced and motivated construction project manager to join the university's team managing the renovation of one of the university's prized historic buildings, Alumnae Hall. For 100 years, this building has been the university's main dining hall and a student residence, and this $50 million project will reimagine the facility as a true campus center with modern dining and amenities for future generations.

Trinity is a 125-year-old historic university in the nation's capital, a women's college with some coeducational programs. Trinity serves about 2000 students from DC and nearby states.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Construction Project Manager (CPM) reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and has high levels of engagement with the President and senior leaders. Trinity has retained the professional management company Brailsford & Dunlavey to serve as Trinity's owner's representative on this project, and the Construction Project Manager will have a close working relationship with Brailsford & Dunlavey and other contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience as a CFO or facilities team leader will enhance the application, along with a track record of successful team management on complex construction projects including historic renovation.
- Experience working with collegiate dining and residence halls also an advantage.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participation in the development and management of the project budget and with Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D).
- Creating detailed schedules and overseeing resource allocation to ensure optimal execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections, review construction plans and specifications, identify potential risks, implement proactive measures to mitigate them and verify that all the work is performed to high quality standards.
- Represents management to all contractors and provides data and information that are essential for the success of this project.
- Participates in monitoring the project budget, facilitating procurement decisions, informing management about options and ensuring project safety and compliance with all relevant DC laws and regulations.
- Ability to work closely with management and Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D)
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on project status to stakeholders including regular updates and reports on project status, including milestones, budget updates, and any significant developments or risks.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
