RESPONSIBILITIES
- Member of facility’s leadership team providing strategic direction for site’s environmental, health & Safety (EHS) programs.
- Oversee systems to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules regarding environmental and safety regulations.
- Manage and direct teams in the implementation of the company’s EHS management system.
- Provide strategic leadership regarding programs that include behavior-based safety, crisis management, etc.
- Facilitate attainment of EHS objectives through leadership and KPI performance.
- Provide tools for personnel to identify hazardous practices and develop hazard control programs.
- Assist in accident investigations and assure timely follow-up.
- Work with production personnel to develop accident prevention plans.
- Manage EHS personnel and assist in prioritizing job activities.
- Lead and support company’s safety committees.
- Coordinate the development of safety training and oversee maintenance of documentation and records.
- Manage wastewater treatment plant and work with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure treatment and discharge requirements are met.
